Why Maternix?

The Maternix Method courses are like having 7 full hours with a Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist but available to you online at home & for a fraction of the price of an in-person Physio appointment.

Tara Campbell, pelvic floor physiotherapist, teaches you the ‘what, why and how’ of the pelvic floor and explains these topics in a clear & concise way.

Applying what you learn in this courses to the exercises provided and everyday activities can drastically reduce the likelihood of pelvic floor, low back and hip injury & pain throughout pregnancy & postpartum as well.

It’s prehabilitation instead of rehabilitation!

Included in the course are live Q&A sessions with Tara so you can ask questions or simply listen in if you’d like!

This course provides information you would receive from a Physiotherapist about your pelvic floor, your core, hips and back. It discussess common conditions Tara treats on a daily basis as a Pelvic Floor and Orthopeadic Physiotherapist and how to prevent them through daily habits and exercise. She is not a licensed midwife, doula or labour and delivery nurse and does not advise on topics that would fall under their care.

You can not submit this course as Physiotherapy to your insurance provider since Tara does not have the option to individually assess and treat each participant. You may be able to submit this course under a health spending account.

Ideally you would start with the Maternix Pregnancy Course as part of the Maternix Method during your second trimester. Generally, it’s at this time that people start to feel like they have a bit more energy and this is when you might start to feel some physical changes taking place with your body. That being said, you can start at any time before or after pregnancy . It is designed to be helpful at any stage, even years after your last pregnancy!

I took this course in the 2nd trimester and found it extremely helpful for getting into a routine to build my pelvic floor health. The exercises she taught our group have helped me with my posture and strength throughout my pregnancy so far, especially with the extra load I'm carrying in the 3rd tri - and I have no doubt will continue to be invaluable in anticipation of labour and the postpartum period. A wonderful course, I would recommend to anyone hoping to improve their pelvic floor health!
